Schriever, LA – Fletcher Technical Community College is excited to announce the renaming of its Cardiopulmonary Care Science program to Respiratory Therapy. This name change reflects the evolving terminology within the healthcare field and aligns with current industry standards.
The content and structure of the program will remain unchanged; the only adjustment is the program’s title to better represent the scope of the profession.
Students currently enrolled in the Cardiopulmonary Care Science program will complete their degree under the original program name and will graduate with a degree in Cardiopulmonary Care Science. No further action is required on their part.
Any students entering the program after the name change will enroll in the Respiratory Therapy program.
“This program name update is a reflection of the ongoing advancements in healthcare and our commitment to providing students with an education that is both relevant and reflective of the industry they will enter upon graduation,” said Dr. Danielle Vauclin, Dean of Nursing and Allied Health at Fletcher.
Fletcher Technical Community College remains committed to ensuring a smooth transition for both current and future students. Faculty and staff are encouraged to share this update with students and colleagues as necessary.
