Student Frequently Asked Questions
Fletcher Textbook Access takes the hassle out of getting course materials because costs are covered as part of the charges on student accounts. This allows every enrolled student access to all required materials on or before the first day of class. Once you have selected your courses, your course list will be sent to the Online Campus Bookstore. The Online Campus Bookstore gets everything ready for you. All you need to do is check your school email for how to access your course materials for the term.
Students will pay $23.50 per credit hour. Charges will be automatically added to the student's fee bill.
Follow the link on FalconNet to get to your student email. To access your student e-mail, use your LOLA credentials.

If you are having issues logging into student email or Canvas, follow the instructions below:
- Go to LoLA
- Click the "I don't know my password" button
- Follow the instructions on screen by clicking on the green start button
- Type in your email and date of birth. Use the email you applied to the college.
- You should receive an email with a token which you need to copy and paste into the token box and click next.
- Verify your LoLA username. (Ensure that the system is finding the correct username)
- Click the “Reset Password” button to continue on and reset your password
- Create a new password and click the reset password button
- Once you have changed your LoLA password, your Canvas and email passwords should be updated.

Your campus is participating in the Fletcher Textbook Access to save students between 20-60% on required course materials! While all students are automatically enrolled, you have the opportunity to opt-out or opt back in during the drop-add period. Students who would like to review the option to opt-out of the program, please review the FAQ titled “Is the program required or can I opt-out of the program”.
Once you register for your courses, the online bookstore will get everything ready for you! You will receive confirmation emails sharing details to access digital materials in Canvas. If you have physical materials, items will be shipped directly to you. Depending on the publisher, some materials will be automatically delivered in Canvas as part of the modules. For others, the digital eBook will be accessed through BryteWave, powered by RedShelf. You will receive an email directly from BryteWave donotreply@redshelf.com, with a link to access your account. Please follow directions in the email to access your virtual bookshelf. The first time you access the eBook you will see a screen prompting you to “View Course Materials”. Please make sure you have access to your student email and your current address is up to date in LoLA.

Yes! Students can save between 20% - 60% based on savings at other schools and thanks to the online campus store relationships with publishing partners and bulk purchasing power. The program also reduces student stress during the purchasing process and provides a method to easily access, manage and use all course materials regardless of format or cost.
Depending on your classes and the course materials your faculty requires, you may receive a combination of:
- digital course materials,
- printed textbooks,
- printed lab manual,
- or workbooks.
Required materials are supplied at the beginning of each session/term. The materials will be accessible on or before the first day of class. Please continue to check your school email (from noreply@follett.com) before the start of each session/term.
Yes. If your instructor has selected printed materials, they will be shipped directly to you. Make sure your address is up to date in LoLA. If you opt out of the program, you are responsible for returning any printed items.
Printed materials are yours to keep at the end of each term. Digital materials can be accessed for a minimum of 180 days and may be available for longer period of time based on the material adopted and the publisher's terms.
Print or digital format is determined based on the adopted material for the specific course prior to the start of class. As a student, if you have a preferred format (print or digital) for textbooks, you should first check with your faculty member to see what format has been chosen for the course.

Only materials identified by your professor as “required” are included in the Fletcher Textbook Access program. All “recommended” materials will be available for purchase separately at https://www.bkstr.com/fletcherstore.
While all students are automatically enrolled in the Access program, you may choose to opt-out and are then responsible for finding/purchasing your materials independently. You must take action to opt-out of the program.
All students are automatically included in Fletcher Textbook Access; however, you may opt-out of the program during specified opt-out periods. You will have the option to opt out of Fletcher Textbook Access program at the start of each term. Specific dates are listed on the website and below. If you opt out of the program, you are responsible for obtaining your course materials on your own. The Opt-Out is for the entire session/semester.

- Click on First Day Books Program opt out
- Select the Term
- Select to opt out of the Program
Students who opt out are responsible for purchasing their course materials on their own.

If the opt-out period has not ended, you can opt back in by going to the opt-out portal in LoLA and choosing “Opt-In”.
If you add or drop a course, that information is automatically transmitted to the online bookstore.
- Added courses: Within 24 hours of adding a course, you will receive an email at your email address with details to access your digital materials and/or materials are provisioned directly into Canvas. For printed materials, you will receive an email to your school email address letting you know when the new print materials are shipped.
- Dropped courses: For courses dropped prior to the last day to drop/add/opt-out deadline, access to electronic or digital materials will be automatically disabled. Printed materials must be returned to the campus bookstore. Once they have dropped or opted-out, students who receive a book will be charged if they fail to return the book.
If that course includes printed material, that material is yours to keep. If that course includes digital material, the length of access is dependent on those specific materials. Please contact Mandy Gregory at m.gregory@follett.com for details. Some materials may have to be purchased again.
