Information about Gene Haas Foundation:

In 1999 Gene Haas founded the Gene Haas Foundation (GHF). Growing up with a strong social conscience instilled by his family, Haas initially formed the foundation to fund the needs of the local community. Haas is the owner Haas Automation, Inc., America’s leading builder of CNC machine tools, which he started in 1983. Haas Automation is a now a billion dollar company.

GHF’s primary goal is to build skills in the machining industry by providing scholarships for CNC machine technology students and NIMS credentials. Scholarships can be used for tuition, books, student’s personal NIMS account, cost of individual NIMS credentials and small personal tools the tools students are required by program to purchase.

Credit or non-credit (certificate) training is eligible for scholarships. Only public schools, 501 c(3) private schools or the manufacturing program’s 501 c(3) foundation may apply.  GHF does not grant funds to individuals or third party organizations to distribute the Gene Haas scholarships. The funds funds cannot be used for any product Haas automation manufactures or sells. http://ghaasfoundation.org/
